Fundraising ideas

Annual Compost Bin Sale - The 2008 sale runs from January through April 1st.

The School CLUB in cooperation with the NRRA  has teamed up with Norseman Plastics to offer the Earth Machine Home Composters through an annual "Backyard Compost Bin Sale". The Sale is coordinated much like a Girl Scout cookie sale in that the The CLUB coordinates the sale on a regional basis while schools coordinate the Sale in their area by promoting it, taking orders and collecting checks. Schools can use this Sale as a fundraiser and earn $5 per bin. The Sale runs from Jan to April of each year.  Is your school interested in participating?  Just send the CLUB an email and I will send you the necessary paper work.

If you would like to order a compost bin for your school and not participate in the compost bin sale you can order them by filling out an order form and send it back to us before April 1, 2008.    For more information go to our "Latest News/Home" Page.

Collection Can Cage

THE CLUB is offering an opportunity for school recycling clubs to not only preserve the environment by collecting cans, but also to receive revenue on a per pound basis for the cans they collect.  The goal of the program is to increase school recycling funds while increasing aluminum can recycling.  As part of the program, THE CLUB will provide participating schools with a large aluminum collection cage for FREE that can be parked outdoors for easy access.  Schools can reserve the collection cage for six months.

All you need to do is:

  1. Contact the CLUB either by phone:(603) 736-4401 or by email: theclub@nrra.net.

  2. Fill out a contract agreement for six months.

  3. Come pick it up on the agreed date (you will need a car with a hitch of at least 2 3/4 inches).

Ink Cartridge Recycling and Cell Phone Recycling.

There are numerous organizations out there who will take your ink cartridges and give you cash money for them.  They even give you promotional materials and envelopes to mail them in.  Here are some organizations that you might want to look into:

Laptop Lunch Boxes

If your school is working to improve nutrition and/or reduce lunchtime waste, consider a school fundraiser with these laptop lunch boxes.  You could coordinate with a school wide Waste Free Lunch week.

See their website for more information
